More Tulsa County Flu Deaths

The news is not good regarding the flu in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Health Department reports seven more people died from influenza in the last week in the state. That brings the total to 12 since the first of October.

Of the deaths, three have been in Tulsa County.  Two of the deaths were  in the last week. One of this week's victims was a child. “This death is a somber reminder of the danger flu poses to children,” said Tulsa Health Department Director Dr. Bruce Dart. “The loss of a child is always tragic and we extend our sympathies to the family.”

The stats show 104-people have been hospitalized in Tulsa with the flu.  45 of the hospitalization took place in the last week.

State health officials stress it is not too lake to get a flu shot.
