More Tulsa Area Lay-Offs

KWGS News File photo

The price of oil is up to around $50  a barrel. That is not enough to save more Tulsa jobs. The IPSCO Company announced it is laying off 200 people at its Port of Catoosa facility.

The company makes tubular casing for the drilling industry. This follows yesterday’s announcement that Sampson Resources is letting 196 people go.

IPSCO sent state officials, what is called a ‘Warn Notice’. That is required before a major layoff.
