More Tornadoes Confirmed in Eastern Oklahoma

The National Weather Service says Tulsa was not alone in sustaining tornado damage on Tuesday night. The NWS has confirmed four more tornado tracks across the eastern half of the state.

The Weather Service says it was a tornado that hit the main business district at Bixby. The storm was an EF-1 with winds to 110-miles per hour. It cause roof damage at the Spartan Shopping Center at 151st and South Memorial as well as in the downtown business district, just a few blocks away.

The Weather Service also says a tornado, of the same classification, caused damage on the southeast side of Broken Arrow, east of the Indian Springs Country Club.

Another EF-1 tornado was confirmed in McIntosh County where it caused damage in the town of Checotah. The downtown business district sustained the most damage.

The last tornado was confirmed in the community of Twin Oaks on Highway 412 in Delaware County. That twister was also an EF-1. Twin Oaks is between Locust Grove and Kansas, Oklahoma.
