Norman, OK – Firefighters battling grass fires in central Okla.
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Firefighters are battling grass fires in Cleveland County, south of Oklahoma City.
Moore firefighter Chett Thompson says brush pumper units were dispatched to blaze in south Moore about 6 p.m. Thursday. Thompson says there were no reports of injuries or property damage.
Farther to the south, a fire also was burning in Norman. There were no reports of injuries or damage with that blaze.
Oklahoma has been plagued by wildfires all month, but greener grasses and cooler weather in recent days has kept a lid on fires.
