TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa residents have a short amount of time left to view a scaled model showing the features included in the city's newest park planned along the Arkansas River.

A model of the 66-acre park, called "A Gathering Place for Tulsa," will be on display at the Arts & Humanities Council through Nov. 21

Organizers say more than 9,000 people have viewed the model since it went on display in August.

Funding for the project was led by the George Kaiser Family Foundation, which committed $50 million with the purchase of land near to River Parks and a midtown pedestrian bridge.

Kaiser is a lifelong Tulsan and one of the wealthiest people in the U.S. He's chairman of BOK Financial Corp. and a major shareholder in various energy and technology companies.
