Missed The Give and Take on Sexual Violence? LISTEN HERE!

Public Radio Tulsa

Sexual violence against women is not new. But the conversation about it is starting to change.  And the #MeToo movement has reflected thousands, or millions, more stories of personal pain and humiliation.

We took the conversation local. Listen to the full recording HERE.

Special thanks to our co-sponsor The University of Tulsa’s Women's and Gender Studies Program, to our moderator Dr. Elana Newman, McFarlin Professor of Psychology at The University of Tulsa. Thank you also to Kelsey Hancock, TU's Violence Prevention Program Coordinator and Samantha Wade, Education Coordinator at Domestic Violence Intervention Services for providing their expert voices on the panel.

There is more work to be done and more conversations to be had but we are grateful for last night. Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, listened, and for the good work you are doing in the community.

The Give and Take on Sexual Violence was held Thursday, November 30th from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the Tyrrell Hall Auditorium at The University of Tulsa

The Give and Take is our event series to build community among public radio listeners and encourage civil discourse on the important issues facing our city, state, and nation, all in a relaxed setting.?
