Tulsa, OK – Miss Oklahoma State University wins Miss Oklahoma
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A 22-year-old elementary education major has captured the 2011 Miss Oklahoma title.
Miss Oklahoma State University, Betty Thompson, was crowned Saturday night by last year's winner, Emoly West.
Pageant spokeswoman Susan Finegan said Thompson performed an Irish step dance to "A Dangerous Game" during the night's talent portion. Finegan says Thompson, of Chandler, won $15,000.
Miss Edmond LibertyFest, 23-year-old Damaris Pierce, was the first runner-up and won a $7,000 scholarship.
