Oklahoma City, OK – Gov. Mary Fallin has signed three bills she says are designed to help military personnel and their families in Oklahoma.
Fallin late Thursday signed one bill that would provide scholarships to the children of military personnel killed in the line of duty after Jan. 1, 2000.
A second bill would prohibit soldiers heading overseas from having their military deployment negatively impact their child custody agreement.
A third measure directs the State Election Board to develop standardized absentee voting materials to make it easier for active duty military personnel to vote while deployed.
Thursday was the last day for Fallin to act on legislation passed during the 2011 session.
