OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The chief of staff of the Oklahoma Army National Guard is scheduled to deliver the keynote address during next week's annual Veterans Day ceremony.
Col. Michael Thompson will speak Tuesday during an event at the 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City.
Thompson has more than 30 years of service with the National Guard. He deployed with the 45th Infantry Brigade to Kuwait and Iraq in 2003-2004 and deployed for a second time to Iraq in 2007-2008.
In civilian life, Thompson is the commissioner of the Department of Public Safety.
Various military and civilian organizations will be represented during the outdoor ceremony
