Tulsa, OK – Mayor Bartlett plans to veto the proposed city charter changes. The proposal would change the current strong-mayor form of government to a city manager chosen by the council. Bartlett says these changes are not in the best interest of the people and is unneeded.

The changes would also increase salaries for the council from $18,000 to $34,000 a year and increase council term limits.
