Maybe (Just Maybe) Some Rain

File photo

Chance for some scattered afternoon thunderstorms could bring some relief from the hot and humid conditions that have persisted this weekend over eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

The National Weather Service says the storms will be scattered Sunday across southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas, while lower chances for storms are forecast near the Kansas border by late Sunday.

The service says rain and storm chances will spread across the entire region by Monday.

Highs Sunday will range from the low 90s to 104 degrees; lows will be between 71 degrees and 80 degrees. A heat advisory remained in effect for much of Arkansas on Sunday.
