File Photo

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Police in Norman say a man who was shot in the face during a home invasion has died.

Police said in a news release Friday that the man died at Norman Regional Hospital where he was taken following the shooting about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The man's name has not been released. He's described only as being in his 20s.

Police say the man was at a home with a woman when three vehicles arrived at the home and several people wearing masks got out and kicked in the front door then shot the man once before taking the woman's wallet and leaving.

Police say it appears the victim knew the suspects and that the shooting was not random, but no suspected motive was revealed.
