OKAY, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in Wagoner County say a man was killed during a suspected home invasion.
Maj. Gary Handley says 38-year-old Michael Shane Smith died early Wednesday at a home south of Okay.
Handley tells the Muskogee Phoenix (http://is.gd/5qPcCh ) that investigators believe Smith was trying to break into the house by climbing through a window. Authorities say the home belongs to Smith's ex-wife.
Handley says Smith got into an altercation with a man inside the house and was stabbed multiple times.
Authorities say they're looking into whether there were previous domestic disturbances between Smith and his ex-wife. Handley says no one has been arrested and the investigation continues.
