Majority Leader to Fundraise Republican Bridenstine

Bridenstine Campaign

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is scheduled to headline a fundraising breakfast for 1st Congressional District candidate Jim Bridenstine.

The Friday morning event at a south Tulsa hotel asks supporters for donations of between $250 and $2,500, which will go toward the campaign of Bridenstine — a Republican.

Bridenstine upset five-term U.S. Rep. John Sullivan in the June Republican primary election. Bridenstine has aligned himself with the tea party and has run on a platform calling for fresh voices in Washington.

Democrat John Olson, the owner of a small business, and Independent Craig Allen, an airline pilot, will also be on the 1st District ballot in November.
