TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A steer that bolted when being unloaded from a carrier at the Tulsa State Fair enjoyed about a half-hour of freedom before being cornered at a nearby home.
The beast that weighs between 800 and 900 pounds got loose Thursday afternoon.
Tulsa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Major Shannon Clark says that deputies, Tulsa police and the animal's owner chased the year-old steer, catching it near 23rd Street and Marion Avenue.
The fair opened on schedule Thursday evening without further animal mischief.
