Listening to 1967: On the Next All This Jazz, Outstanding Recordings from Fifty Years Ago

McCoy Tyner, Don Ellis, Roland Kirk (shown here), Sam Rivers, and more -- dig the line-up, folks! On the next All This Jazz -- beginning at 9pm on Saturday the 4th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa-- our thematic hour (running from 11pm till midnight) will be Jazz Recordings from 1967.

Every Saturday night, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz, across a range of styles, from 9 o'clock till midnight. We also offer a 7pm re-airing of our show on Sunday evenings, on Jazz 89.5-2, which is Public Radio Tulsa's all-jazz HD Radio channel.

From Don Cherry to Don Byron, Kenny Wheeler to Kenny Barron, and Duke Ellington to Duke Jordan, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we always enjoy sharing such with our listeners.

Join us, music buffs! You'll be glad you did. (Also, note that ATJ playlist information can usually be found here, although you'll have to scroll down a bit...and we also maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thanks.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
