Light Snow Possible in Northern Oklahoma Counties

Oklahoma Mesonet

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Forecasters say light snow is possible in northern Oklahoma as another round of wintry weather makes its way through the state.

The National Weather Service says 1 to 2 inches of snow are possible Monday in northern Oklahoma, including the Bartlesville, Enid and Ponca City areas. Less than a half-inch of snow is possible further south into the Oklahoma City area.

Many schools remain closed Monday after wintry weather hit the state last week, and cold temperatures are expected to persist throughout the week.

State highway officials say roads are slick and hazardous in the south-central parts of the state, while the majority of Oklahoma roads are slick in spots. Highway officials report that roads are clear in the Panhandle and in northwest Oklahoma.
