The Lewis Avenue bridge over I-44 in Tulsa should reopen next month. It’s been closed nearly two years while the last phase of the widening of the interstate was constructed. It includes a new bridge on Lewis. Oklahoma Department of Transportation spokesperson Kenna Carmon says the bridge was scheduled to open this month, but all the rain has slowed concrete work so it will take a while longer.
No specific date has been set, but it is expected the Lewis Bridge will once again be carrying traffic sometime in July.
