The Oklahoma National Guard receives a tribute from the Oklahoma legislature. The lawmakers gathered in a special session to honor the guard members just back from Afghanistan.
Oklahoma General Miles Deering addressed the lawmakers and asked for help. He says 30-percent of the returning citizen-soldiers are either out of work or underemployed.
General Deering also offered praise to the service men and women who died during the deployment. The fallen received a standing ovation from the lawmakers.
