Oklahoma City, OK – SENATE STUDIES

Senate leader approves interim studies

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Senate President Pro Tem Glenn Coffee has approved 34 interim studies on issues ranging from high-speed Internet services to creating a state commission on consumer credit.

The studies will be conducted between now and the beginning of the next legislative session in February.

Several studies deal with health insurance issues, including autism coverage and cancellation of policies for arbitrary reasons.

Democrats have criticized Coffee, R-Oklahoma City, and other Republican leaders for blocking legislation expanding insurance coverage.
