Oklahoma City, OK – Askins, Fallin make last minute push

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Democratic Lt. Gov. Jari Askins and Republican U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin are making last-minute appeals to supporters as Tuesday's historic election looms.

Fallin supporters drove in caravans from cities across Oklahoma on Saturday, converging on the Harn Homestead territorial museum in Oklahoma City.

More than 200 supporters ate barbecue and listened to music while Fallin encouraged them to get to the polls on Election Day.

Askins attended a firefighter chili cook-off in Chickasha on Saturday morning, followed by a pumpkin festival in Newcastle.

Both women are vying to become the state's first female governor.
