Large Drug and Human Trafficking Bust in Tulsa County

Tulsa County Sheriff

Multiple agencies conduct what is being called a major drug sweep in Tulsa County. Warrants were served in Tulsa and Broken Arrow at daybreak. Law enforcement says the group had ties to the Mexican drug cartel.

Tulsa Sheriff’s spokesman Justin Green says Homeland Security, the FBI, and the Oklahoma Narcotics Bureau were a part of the sweep. Officers seized guns, drugs, and money. Eight people have been arrested thus far.

Green says the group also was involved in human trafficking. People were smuggled into the country and part of their fee was working for the cartel.
