Kepler Sentenced as Murder Retrial Is in the Works

KWGS News

A Tulsa judge hands former Tulsa Police officer Shannon Kepler a six-month sentence on each of his two convictions for being reckless with a firearm. Judge Sharon Holmes sentenced Kepler  this morning in Tulsa District Court.

The jury deadlocked, 11-to-1, last week on a 1st Degree Murder Charge. Kepler was accused of killing his estranged daughter's boyfriend, Jeremy Lake, in August of 2014. The District Attorney will charge Kepler again on the murder complaint. That trial  is set for February.

The judge set bond at $50,000 for appeal of each of the misdemeanor convictions.
