World Cafe's Sense of Place visit to LA continues today with a bit more of a funky West Coast vibe. Our guests are the powerful new Latin funk band Jungle Fire, whose album Tropicoso is out on North Hollywood-based Nacional Records.
This band has a sound that encompasses a variety of Latin styles along with funk. And what makes it really special is the addition of Afrobeat from Nigeria. Three percussionists keep things moving. We recorded the band on our trip to LA at the studios of our affiliate KCSN.
