TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A federal judge in Tulsa is considering allegations of perjury against a convicted former Tulsa police officer already serving a 42-month prison sentence for corruption.

Ex-officer Jeff Henderson's legal team claims it was a mistake — not perjury — when Henderson identified a man as an informant even though an attorney showed that the man Henderson said he identified and rode around with to secure information was in fact in the Tulsa jail at the time.

The case wrapped up Monday and U.S. District Judge James Payne will issue a ruling — but did not say when.

A jury found Henderson guilty last year of lying six times during a federal court case and violating the civil rights of citizens during what was determined to be an illegal search.
