Jogger Attacked in Sand Springs

Sand Springs Police are search for a man who attacked a woman jogging Sunday afternoon. Sand Springs Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter says the 20-year-old woman was jogging under the Highway 97 Bridge when a man on a bicycle approached her. He pulled a gun and forced her into a wooded area near the trail.

The suspect then pulled a knife. The woman fought off the attacker. She was cut of the hand, but the attacker was stabbed in the leg. He then ran away.

The woman was treated at an nearby medical center and then met with Sand Springs Detectives. The suspect is described as:  White,  Male,  6’00”, slender build, Blonde or Gray Hair,  Ball Cap,  Blue Shirt,  Cargo Shorts,  Last seen riding a black bike with some sort of case on the handle bars.
