January Death of Oologah Kindergartner Ruled Cardiac Arrest

KWGS News

OOLOGAH, Okla. (AP) — The sudden death of an Oologah-Talala kindergarten student has been ruled to be cardiac arrest due to an enlarged heart.

Six-year-old Jenny Yang died Jan. 5 at a hospital in Owasso after being sent home from school with a fever. Her death led officials to cancel classes at the school for several days and to clean the elementary school building and the school's buses.

The family is shocked by the medical examiner's report, which was released Monday.  Family member, David Yang said the family questions the findings and may request another autopsy.
