BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say remains found three weeks ago in Osage County belong to a 62-year-old man who disappeared in August after leaving a casino.
Osage County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Charlie Cartwright says state medical examiners confirmed that the remains belong to Timothy Allen Hauser of Bartlesville. A deer hunter discovered the remains Dec. 29 in a pasture about four miles west of Bartlesville.
Hauser disappeared Aug. 9 from an Osage County casino, and authorities believe he was beaten and robbed.
Two people have been charged with robbing Hauser. Cartwright tells the Examiner-Enterprise that he anticipates prosecutors will file murder charges against the pair now that Hauser's remains have been identified.
