An apartment fire early this morning left several families in South Tulsa homeless.
The blaze was reported just after 1 a.m. at the Pomeroy Park Apartments at 68th & S. Lewis Avenue.
Authorities say a flammable substance was found on outside steps the second floor landing where the fire started. No one was injured in the blaze, even though the initial call indicated a family was trapped inside an apartment.
The American Red Cross is assisting those displaced by the fire.
