BETHANY, Okla. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a body was found following a house fire in central Oklahoma.
Bethany police Deputy Chief John Reid says agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation have been requested to assist the community's police.
Reid says firefighters were called early Monday on a report of a house fire. After extinguishing the blaze, the body was discovered inside the house.
Reid says a search warrant has been requested for the house and law enforcement officers are waiting for a judge's signature.
Reid says he couldn't comment on the gender or age of the deceased.
