Oklahoma City, OK – Okla Insurance Commissioner issues emergency order

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak has issued an emergency order to allow licensed claims adjustors from other states to help assess damages and losses from the winter storm.

The order allows licensed out-of-state claims adjustors to work in the state for 90 days. The order could be extended after the 90 day period ends.

The storm that began Tuesday dumped up to 20 inches of snow, ice and sleet in parts of the state.

Gov. Mary Fallin declared a statewide state of emergency on Monday as the storm was moving toward the state.
