Oklahoma City, OK – Okla infant in critical condition after arson fire

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) Midwest City police say a baby boy is in critical condition after being burned over most of his body in an arson fire.

Police Chief Brandon Clabes says a man kicked in the door of a home about 3:10 a.m. Saturday and ignited gasoline as he poured it on the floor. Clabes says the infant was pulled from the burning structure but not before he suffered first-, second- and third-degree burns on his body.

He says the child is in critical condition at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Three adults and six children made it safely out of the home.

The man believed to have set the house on fire is described as a black male who is 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had tiny pigtails in his hair.
