Tulsa, OK – Oklahoma M.E. investigator indicted
TULSA, Okla. (AP) Kevin Rowland, the former chief investigator for the Oklahoma medical examiner's office, has been indicted on four counts of sexual battery, including allegations that he groped and propositioned women he worked with.
Rowland, who resigned his job in March, surrendered to authorities in Tulsa after the indictment was unsealed Thursday. His bond was set at $2,000 per count. An Aug. 3 arraignment date was set.
A multi-county grand jury report accused Rowland of sexually harassing female co-workers and being abusive. It said two women filed grievances that somehow went missing.
Scott Adams, Rowland's attorney, called the prosecution of Rowland a political hack job motivated by Rowland's desire to close the medical examiner's office in Tulsa.
