Indictment Charges Pawnee Woman with 2003 Killing
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A Pawnee County woman is accused of beating a man to death with a baseball bat in 2003.
A multicounty grand jury indictment charging 31-year-old Amanda Sanders-Bolstad with first-degree murder was unsealed Tuesday in Pawnee County District Court.
Sanders-Bolstad has a lengthy criminal history and prison records show she currently is imprisoned at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center on drug and perjury charges.
According to the indictment, Sanders-Bolstad was accused of beating Heath Riley Reams to death with a baseball bat in July 2003.
A telephone message left Tuesday with Sanders-Bolstad's attorney was not immediately returned.
The multicounty grand jury is not open to the public, but the indictment lists 28 separate witnesses who appeared before the grand jury, including five agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
