Norman, OK – Child found in hot car dies at Okla. hospital

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Police say a 3-year-old child who was found inside a hot car has died at a Norman hospital.

Capt. Tom Easley says officers responded to a north Norman residence about 2:20 p.m. Friday after getting a call from a babysitter who reported that a little boy was missing child. Easley says the child was found inside a car at the home a short time later.

The boy was taken to Norman Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The child's name wasn't immediately released.

According to the National Weather Service, the temperature was about 99 degrees between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. in Norman.
