City officials at Hominy say the water in the town is safe. They tell KWGS most of the complaints about brownish colored water are coming from people living on dead end streets and in older sections of town where the infrastructure is antiquated.
There was problem with the town’s PH balance, but that has been addressed.
The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has reviewed the situation and there is no boil order in effect.
