Hilberling Found Guilty

Tulsa County Jail Booking photo

A jury finds Amber Hilberling guilty of second degree murder.

The 21-year-old was convicted of pushing her husband, Joshua Hilberling, out of a window of their 25th-floor apartment in 2011.

The jury returned a recommendation of 25 years in prison after three hours of deliberation.

The other possible penalty was a charge of first-degree manslaughter.

Hilberling had testified that she never meant for her husband to go through the window, and that she shoved him in self-defense.
