Hilberling Death Ruled a Suicide

Oklahoma DOC

The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death of Amber Hilberling was a suicide. The 25-year-old was found dead in her prison cell in October at the Mable Bassett Correctional Center.

She was serving a 25-year sentence for the death of her husband. Hilberling was convicted of pushing him the window of their high rise Tulsa apartment.  She had claimed it was an accident.

The M.E. report also states Hilberling had methamphetamine in her system at the time of her death.
