Oklahoma City, OK – Robert Henry named OCU president

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Judge Robert H. Henry, chief judge of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and Gov. Brad Henry's cousin, has been named president and CEO of Oklahoma City University.

OCU announced Robert Henry's appointment Thursday on its Web site. He will succeed Tom J. McDaniel, who will retire in July as president and assume a new role as chancellor.

Henry served as dean of the OCU School of Law and tenured professor of law from 1991-1994. He was named president following a national search in which 43 applications and 10 nominations were reviewed.

Henry has served on the Denver-based appellate court for 15 years. He has also served as state attorney general and was a member of the Oklahoma House for 10 years.
