Oklahoma City, OK – Laid off Hertz workers eligible for aid

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Former employees of Hertz Corporation's Oklahoma City office have been ruled eligible for the Trade Readjustment Assistance program by the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission announced the eligibility on Friday.

The program provides assistance to those who lose jobs or significant work hours because of increased imports or a shift in production out of the country.

Certified workers can access services like income support, relocation and job search allowances, and health coverage tax credits.

The eligibility applies to workers laid off after Aug. 5, 2008, and includes leased workers from Express Employment Professionals and Addison Group.
