NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Travelers in Oklahoma could see heavy rain and possibly light wintry precipitation as they hit the road for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The National Weather Service says heavy rainfall is expected on Thanksgiving Day, which could result in flooding. No severe storms are expected, but the wet weather could be traveling difficult.
On Thursday night and early Friday morning, some parts of northern and western Oklahoma could see freezing rain. Forecasters say other parts of the state could see the wintry precipitation over the weekend as well.
The wintry precipitation isn't expected to accumulate, but it may make roads slick.
This weekend's Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game could be a chilly one as well — forecasters are predicting a 50 percent chance of showers and a high of 39 in Stillwater on Saturday.
