Tulsa, OK – 12 Oklahoma counties under excessive heat warning
TULSA, Okla. (AP) Twelve Oklahoma counties are under an excessive heat warning issued by the National Weather Service.
The warning for Creek, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Tulsa, Rogers, Pittsburg, Wagoner, Washington, Osage, Pawnee, McIntosh and Muskogee counties remains in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday.
Forecasters say heat index values of 105 to 115 degrees have been common across the area Saturday. Heat index values are expected to be in the 105-to-110-degree range Sunday.
