Tulsa, OK – A new program will teach school kids in Northeastern Oklahoma about healthy living. The goal is to reduce childhood obesity.
Too many kids in Tulsa and in Oklahoma are overweight and don't practice good nutrition. A partnership between St. Francis Health System and HealthTeacher is designed to improve that situation. St. Francis C-E-O Jake Henry says HealthTeacher is an online curriculum to educate kids about healthy choices.
The Tulsa district will be the first in Oklahoma to implement the nationally recognized HealthTeacher program.
