Health Care Reform Debate

By Associated Press

Oklahoma City, OK – 2 groups rally at state Capitol

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Two groups held separate rallies at the state Capitol one calling for health care reform and one criticizing recent actions of the federal government.

An estimated 300 marched to the south side of the Capitol at noon Sunday saying health care is a right and that a public option would not increase health costs.

About four hours later an estimated 1,500 marched to the north side of the Capitol to criticize federal spending and the role of government.

Several speakers talked said they're concerned about the loss of freedom and that the federal government is taking more of a role in private businesses and state governments.
