Health Care Providers are Steamed Over State Health Department Accounting Debacle

File photo

As the dust begins to settle from the $30-million that was NOT missing from the state health department, health care providers are still fuming. They took massive budget cuts that did not need to happen.

Variety Care CEO Lou Carmichael says they were all fed the same line that the health department was out of money. That was not the case.

She says the cuts have had a direct impact on her organization. They had planned to expand hours of operations, but couldn't because funding was cut.
