Hard Time is now Hot Time at State Prison

By KWGS News

McAlester, OK – The air conditioning is out a state prison at McAlester, including on death row.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections is working on the problems and trying to keep the sometimes rowdy inmate population calm. The air conditioning started failing on Sunday.

The Department's Jerry Massie says they are giving the inmates extra ice and providing additional showers.
