Gun at School

Tulsa, OK – Police find gun in locker

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Authorities say campus police have found a gun in a student locker at Memorial High School in Tulsa.

School officials were questioning a 16-year-old male student who appeared to be under the influence when an employee noticed some text messages on his cell phone, which had been confiscated Friday.

Tulsa Public Schools spokeswoman Tami Marler says the messages indicated that there was a gun on campus, so officers locked down a portion of the school building about 2 p.m. and called for help.

Marler says a .380 was located in a female student's locker about 2:30 p.m.

The boy was arrested on a complaint of drug possession.
