Ground is Broken for Anchor at New BA Shopping Complex

KWGS News

Ground is broken for a new shopping complex in far south Broken Arrow. It will be called the Shops of Aspen Creek.  It will be located near 145th East Avenue, called Aspen in Broken Arrow, and the Creek Turnpike. Broken Arrow Mayor Craig Thurman expects the complex to eventually rival the Tulsa Hills complex.

Unlike Tulsa Hills, however, the complex will not be anchored by a big box store. Instead it will be anchored by the luxury Warren Movie Theatres. Wichita owner, Bill Warren, says this will be the largest luxury movie complex in the country.  The  18-screen venue will feature balcony auditoriums, exclusive ‘Director Suites’ and a variety of dining options, including adult beverages.

The project is estimated to cost $45-million. It should open late next year.
