From The Grinch to The Nutcracker, Bela Fleck to Vince Guaraldi: All This Jazz Marks the Holidays

Happy Holidays, dear listeners! Here's hoping you can join us for the next edition of All This Jazz, beginning at 10pm on Saturday the 21st, right here on Public Radio 89.5-1. We'll also offer, as ever, a 7pm re-broadcast of ATJ on Sunday the 22nd on Jazz 89.5-2, which is Public Radio Tulsa's all-jazz HD Radio channel.

Each week, our program delivers modern jazz, both recent and classic, right up till midnight. And for our forthcoming show, we'll spin two solid hours of holiday music: wall-to-wall yuletide faves, on the first night of winter, no less --- some older tunes, and some newer tunes, with all of them sounding downright excellent.

We'll hear from jazz greats of various sorts and styles, such as Mel Torme, Renee Rosnes, Tom Harrell, John Zorn, Dexter Gordon, Louis Bellson, Jimmy Smith, and many others.

It's sure to be a blast --- music to wrap gifts by, or look at lights by, or sip eggnog by, or whatever --- so do join us, if you can.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
