A Grim Night For Tulsa. Homicides This Year Hit 50

KWGS File Photo

Two people are shot and killed in separate incidents overnight in Tulsa. Those killings bring the number of homicides this year in Tulsa to 50. That is more than in all of 2012.

Tulsa Police say there is no known reason for the spike of violent crime. There has been no increase in gang or drug activity.

A locksmith was shot and killed 51st and South Memorial after apparently getting into a dispute over a bill. Police are questioning one person about the shooting and looking for two more people.

In another incident, a man was shot while sitting on a porch in the Red Fork area. Police indicate there had been some sort of argument. The man was dead-on-arrival at a Tulsa hospital.
